Privacy policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026
This policy explains what information the Near Nature app for iOS collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It also covers this website.
Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect the information needed to set it up and sign you in, such as your email address, name or display name, and sign-in credentials. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the information Apple shares with your permission, which may be a private relay email address. We also store the progress and content associated with your account so it is available when you sign in.
Information collected automatically
The app collects usage analytics and crash logs to help us understand how Near Nature is used and to fix problems. This may include device model, iOS version, app version, general usage events such as screens viewed or features used, performance data, and diagnostic details about crashes. We do not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information we do not collect
The app does not access your precise location, contacts, camera, or photo library.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure your account, save and sync your progress, operate and improve the app, diagnose and fix errors, respond to your requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Where information is stored
Account and app data is stored on servers operated by us or by service providers that host our backend, analytics, and crash reporting on our behalf. These providers may only process information to provide their services to us. Information may be processed in countries other than your own.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Near Nature, our users, or others.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app or by emailing us; when you do, we delete your account and associated data within a reasonable period, except for information we must keep for legal or security reasons. Analytics and crash data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your account details in the app, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has given us personal information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
This website
This website has no accounts, contact forms, advertising, analytics, or cookies, and its code does not collect personal information. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes under its own policies. See GitHub’s explanation of Pages hosting and the GitHub Privacy Statement. If you follow a link to another website, that website’s privacy practices apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Near Nature changes. Updates will appear on this page with a new revision date, and we will let you know in the app about significant changes.
